The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department takes a pro-active approach to fighting crime
in our communities. Part of that effort involves taking steps to prevent crimes from
occurring.
The Crime Prevention Unit assists our citizens with developing and implementing
strategies to deter criminal activity before it takes place. Crime Prevention Officer David Massengill works
with citizens to establish Neighborhood Watch groups in our communities, and acts as a
liaison between them and the department. He performs home/business security surveys,
speaks to community groups, and provides advice and up-to-date information about crime
prevention activities.
